Don't despair. It really doesn't have to be like this!
There is a way to work with your mind that aligns what you want to experience with what you are experiencing.
Carl Jung, the pioneer of Shadow Work and Active Imagination, emphasized the importance of processing phobias and trauma not just on a cognitive level, but on an emotional level. The fear of public speaking often has layers of emotions buried beneath the surface, hidden in the unconscious.
You might understand why you feel fear, but without accessing and processing the emotions tied to it, you’ll likely keep reacting the same way. Think of your emotional body like a 4-year-old child. Before the age of 6, our emotions are not tied to language or logical thinking. Instead, they are rooted in perception and gut instinct. These early emotional experiences shape how we see ourselves and the world. Many of the assumptions we made as children weren’t true, but they were our way of staying safe.
Now imagine that 4-year-old version of yourself standing on a stage in front of 100 people. How would you feel? You might instinctively want to protect that child by removing them from the stage, which could make them feel safe. But what if that child truly wants to be on the stage? Removing them might frustrate their desire to shine.
This internal tug-of-war is often where we find ourselves: torn between our fear and our longing to share something meaningful with the world. Many of us believe that if we feel fear, something must be wrong with us, or that fear itself is a sign of failure.
But what if the fear is just a signal, asking us to look deeper?
Hi, I’m Nicole. I specialize in coaching people who struggle with public speaking jitters, performance anxiety, and full-on stage fright. My goal is to help you step in front of your audience with clarity, confidence, and even exhilaration.
If you’ve tried therapy, mindfulness meditation, or hypnosis, but found they didn’t offer long-term relief, you’re not alone. These approaches might help you uncover the cause of your fear, but they often fall short when it comes to the deep dive into the emotions that keep you stuck. What you need is a new way to approach fear—a new relationship with it.
I know this because I’ve been there. I know what it feels like to stand in front of an audience—frozen, shaky, ineffective, and convinced you’re being judged. I’ve felt it while leading workshops, teaching large groups, playing piano, and performing in theater. My “technique” back then? Push through it. Rush through it. Just get to the end.
But that approach left me disconnected. I couldn’t fully process the experience or learn from it—I was just relieved it was over. It wasn’t until I began addressing the underlying emotions and patterns of my stage fright that things started to change.
I began to see my fear not as something to fight or ignore, but as something to understand and work with. That’s when I started to transform my relationship with performing and public speaking.
These are people who thought debilitating nervous anxiety was just a normal, uncomfortable part of public speaking. People who thought they would never be able to keep their head clear enough to speak with authority and purpose. But these same people have a new relationship with their fear.
One client, a music school business owner, has overcome her fear of leading groups, but more specifically, speaking with compassionate authority.
Another client has shifted from dreading his weekly video conference sales calls with upper-level management, to feeling at ease, relaxed and in the moment.
Another client has taken huge leaps in creating a non-profit organization that requires her leadership to be clear, effective and creative.
Today, they are all enjoying the creative process, the moment in front of their audience and the opportunity to learn from each speaking experience.
The fear of public speaking and performing isn’t just about the fear of failing or embarrassing oneself. It’s a complex web of emotions and beliefs that can keep you from fully expressing the real you.
I want to help you break through those barriers so that you can confidently show up as the intelligent, creative, and caring person you truly are—whether you’re speaking to an audience of one or standing before a large group.
Let's address these together, which one is the most true for you?
What I’ve created is a solution that helps you relate to your fear in a new way. It addresses all the underlying causes and the emotions tied your experiences, this combination affects your comfort with speaking or performing in public.
For example, in Shadow Work, we might explore the part of you that feels small or inadequate when you’re on stage. By bringing this shadow aspect into the light, acknowledging its presence and feeling into its origin, you can begin to have compassion for that part of you, integrating it into your sense of self.
This process helps you take the power back from those feelings of inadequacy, turning them down, and turning up your natural confidence and authenticity so you can speak or perform like yourself.

Does that nervous feeling ever go away entirely? No, you wouldn’t want it to! Consider it as fuel or energy. I still have elevated nervousness before performing or speaking, but I’ve learned how to work with the tools that I will teach you to use, flipping the switch from nervous to excited.
Now, when I’m in front of an audience, I get to enjoy the full experience without rushing to the end.
In life, I want to enjoy each moment and I take that mindset onto the stage, into my workshops, into any environment that requires me to present, speak or perform.
My clients, students, friends, spouse, kids and even my cats all think I’m super-human. But the truth is I’m just super interested in enjoying life and all that it has to offer me.
